If you wish to audition for Fall 2020 choirs, please contact Prof. Kamm ( before preregistration, or–new students–audition during new student orientation in the fall.

A successful audition is required to sing in the choirs. One audition suffices for both choirs. Auditions are held every fall during orientation week for incoming and new students. Auditions for the spring semester are held around the time of pre-registration through the first week of classes in the spring semester; contact Prof. Kamm at the email address below to arrange an audition. Once a singer is in a choir, they may continue in that same choir without interruption each semester without reauditioning.

Auditions consist of vocalizing, singing a familiar tune a cappella (such as My Country ‘Tis of Thee, Amazing Grace, Happy Birthday, or another lyrical song of your choosing), an exercise in pitch repetition, and a little sight singing.

Fall Semester 2020, the Claremont Treble Singers (MUS 176) regularly rehearses Mondays and Wednesdays 4:15-5:25 p.m. and the Claremont Concert Choir (MUS 173) regularly rehearses Mondays and Wednesdays throughout each semester, 5:35-6:45 p.m.
